Let me hear you call my name.
More than words.
You know you love me, too.

HIKING!
Saturday, December 5, 2009
Pardon me for a long post . . . Have anyone ever wonder how long or how far away it is from EAST TO WEST of Singapore? To be specify, it’s from Bedok to Choa Chu Kang! NEW UPDATE: 30.206km in one night which is close to 8 hours! I was so tired after a night’s hike from Bedok Interchange to Bukit Timah. There are so many bubbles on my feet right now, making me difficult to move. Every step takes so much pain on stepping, 好痛啊!!! The hiking plan was decided one month plus ago during our gathering, and I was so enthusiastic about it as it’s the first time to get such great and rare experience which is to walk home from Bedok to Choa Chu Kang. However, A LOT OF THEM PS US!!!!! From the MRT map, it was just 22 stops difference; however it was a great pain of the real experiment. We started fresh and excited, there were jokes and laughers along the way.. slowly, there started to have complaints from ZH and followed by all of us. We reached Geylang at around 12a.m, seated down at G7( the famous 田鸡粥) near to Kallang station to have supper. Seriously, the porridge was nice, the frog was delicious, BUTTTTTT .... They charged a normal standard size of coconut drink at S$3.50! Ridiculous? I don’t know ~ After supper, we moved on which is Lavender, then followed by Bugis. As the late night or rather early morning approaches, God of Sleep kept pestering us. Sweats and tiredness keep on disturbing us, making us very hard on moving on. Reached Bugis and we decided to visit Mustafa Centre at Little India. Walking in a nobody Serangoon Street, suddenly a police car came and two policemen took down our particulars, damn suay I would say. After visited Mustafa, we continued our long journey, we passed by St Joseph Institute Junior ( Jian Ning’s Pri. Sch), he was so excited about it and insisted on walking near to take a look. Then we came to Keng Lee Court, memories flowed back ( yes, I do remember :( Dunearn Road, the long stretch which near Bukit Timah, was VERY VERY + SUPER LONG and unbearable for us. We walked against the traffic and visited several of the Mobile Stations. The Sales Aunty was very good as she sold the puffs to us at one dollar each! Finished the long stretch at Dunearn Road, we were all worn out and the time was already 6+, and we decided to take bus home as the next day I have to go out with my mama at 1+. Looking forward to next outing, but spare me, no more walking please! :( this is not the only map! in total we have THREE MAPS! :( Start of the journey . . . this pool of water stops our way for a while! all the placess ... that we have been through, passed by .. the street is so quiet and there were so little ( in fact don't have) people except cars. .. Lights were brighting shining on the street and cars were drifting .. too fast to see . all the road signs that have been taken down, memorable! Swiss Cottage Road ( estate) , Keng Lee road!!!! again, memorable ... SUPPER but for them not for me .. hahah! oya , the last few places , i was too tired to take anymore photos! cos they didn't stop at all, i don't have time to catch all the moments .. befoer the start of the harddest hardship .. LOL this state isn't the worst ... finally we conquered it! but with tiredness, now is the time to have a long long good rest to recover as well .. injuries and dirts .. . but it's worthed :) |
